ยง482.26(c) - Standard: Personnel (1) A qualified full-time, part-time or consulting radiologist must supervise the ionizing radiology services and must interpret only those radiologic tests that are determined by the medical staff to require a radiologist's specialized knowledge. For purposes of this section, a radiologist is a doctor of medicine or osteopathy who is qualified by education and experience in radiology.


This STANDARD is not met as evidenced by:
Based on record review and interview, the hospital failed to ensure a qualified full-time, part-time or consulting radiologist was appointed to supervise the radiology services of the hospital. Findings: Review of the hospital's staff list failed to reveal a physician identified to supervise the hospital's radiology services. Review of the hospital 's list of privileged physicians failed to reveal a radiologist on staff. Review of the hospital 's governing body meeting minutes revealed the hospital priviledges were granted to the off site entity providing radiological services as a group, and not to the individual providers in that group. An interview was conducted on 04/08/2026 at 2:20 PM with S3CPO. S3CPO confirmed there had been no physician appointed to supervise the radiology services of the hospital.
